These players are gaining traction as some of the best players in all of Class 1A.
Jasaveion Moore | Loachapoka HS
Moore is a terrific player for Loachapoka. Last season, he led the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game. Heading into 2021-22, Moore will look to increase his stock and once again lead his school in the right direction.
Jamari Payne | 6-3 C, PF | Loachapoka HS
Payne was just a freshman last season, but finished fourth on the team in scoring with 6.2 points per game. In Area 6, he finished 33rd overall in scoring.
He can play both center and power forward and has great skills given his size. At 6’3″, 210 pounds, the incoming sophomore is going to be a dynamic player moving forward through his high school career.
Kris Crayton | 5-8 PG | Notasulga HS
Crayton is an incoming junior that had a stellar sophomore season. At point guard, Crayton is an excellent shooter that can hit a shot from anywhere on the court. He has great court vision and excels at driving past defenders to get an open look.
From a defensive standpoint, Crayton has solid footwork and can stay step for step with the opposing ball handler and forces turnovers with ease.
Trakeon Safford | 6-2 F | Central HS
Safford is an excellent post player that can set up open lanes towards the rim for his teammates.
On defense, the 6’2″ forward is a terrific defender that can take a foul or create turnovers in the paint.
Marquarius Brown | SG | Central HS
Brown is another player from Central that is starting to gain traction in Area 6. The shooting guard has great basketball skills and can move past defenders to create an open shot.
On defense, he has great awareness of where the ball is and can help his teammates to double team the ball handler to force a turnover.
