The top players from Area 13 are proving to be some of the best talent in Class 1A.
Connor Flynt | 5-11 G | Cedar Bluff HS
Flynt is a sensational point guard that is excellent with the ball in his hands.
The 5’11” incoming senior impressed last season and could round out his high school career as one of the top guards in Area 13. He is great at attacking the rim on offense but can also hit an open shot from anywhere on the court.
Logan Evans | 5-11 G | Skyline HS
Evans had a phenomenal 2020-21 season. The junior guard excels at driving past defenders to separate himself for an open shot attempt. On defense, Evans can force the ball handler away from him and get steals with ease that convert to fast break points.
In 2021-22, Evans could end up being Skyline’s scoring leader.
Weston Avans | 6-4 F | Skyline HS
Another potential star from Skyline, Avans is a terrific post player. He can drive towards defenders in the paint and create a challenge down low. On defense, Avans forces the ball handler to make a split second decision whether to drive towards the rim or pass out to a teammate.
Avans is also an excellent rebounder and can block shots at the rim.
Tre Stone | 6-1 G | Woodville HS
Stone was only a freshman last season, but did more than impress his coaching staff. The 6’1″ guard is a terrific floor general that can take over the game at any moment and find a way to score.
He possesses all the great attributes of a future star. On defense, he can draw the ball handler to him and create turnovers that result in quick points for his team.
Jacob Burleson | 6-1 F | Cedar Bluff HS
Burleson is an excellent post player that can draw defenders away from his teammates on the pick and roll to create open looks.
When he has the ball down low, Burleson can attack the rim and score an easy basket. Defensively, he has great footwork and can stay step for step with his man at the rim.
