Here are the top players from Area 11.
Cayden Bishop | 5-8 G | Jefferson Christian Academy
Bishop is a solid guard that can separat himself from defenders and hit an open jumper. The incoming senior put forth a solid season in 2020-21 and looks to replicate that this upcoming season.
On defense, Bishop is a great defender that can attack the ball and force turnovers, but he also excels at running the fast break.
Bryson Seawright | 5-9 G | Appalachian HS
Seawright put forth an excellent junior season. The 5’9″ guard excels at getting to the rim and hitting the mid-range jumper. But he can also hit a three-pointer with nice range.
On defense, Seawright is a stellar defender that can go step for step with his man all the way to the rim.
Landon Snow | 5-9 F | Appalachian HS
Snow is one of the best forwards in Area 11. The junior had an outstanding 2020-21 year and could become a noteworthy player in 2021-22.
On offense, Snow is great in the post and can hit a nice fadeaway jumper or drive to the rim against taller defenders and set up a challenge for a bucket. Defensively, Snow is phenomenal at forcing turnovers in the paint.
Drew Frazier | 5-9 G | Sumiton Christian Academy
Frazier is a sensational guard that can play his position to perfection. He is great with the ball in his hands but knowns when to pass to an open teammate. When he has the ball, Frazier excels at forcing defenders away from him and hitting an open shot.
On defense, the incoming senior is great at forcing the ball away from his man but can also come away with a turnover on any given possession.
Micah Burroughs | 6-0 G, F | Jefferson Christian Academy
Burroughs is a phenomenal two-way player. The incoming senior can play the guard position or the forward position. Given his 6’0″ frame, Burroughs can cause a mismatch against smaller defenders when he is playing at guard.
On offense, he is great at hitting open looks and driving to the rim. He’s also an excellent rebounder and can grab boards at both ends of the floor. Defensively, Burroughs is great at forcing players to drive into the paint and block shots when he is playing forward. He can also cause turnovers from anywhere on the court.
