Yechiel Stewart, 6-1, PG, Trinity Prep (pictured above)
Playing in the GAPPS division yet has a 7A body and game at the PG spot, can really get downhill to the basket with speed and control, natural handle and a smooth stroke from all levels, superb on-ball defender and excellent decision-maker, definitely has next-level ability and one who could surprise this summer against what’s sure to be some high-quality competition.
Logan Allen, 6-6, SG/SF, Konos Academy
Coming out of the small GAPPS program in Tyrone, has length for days at a legit 6-6, great-looking shot from 3-land, gets it off quick and makes at a high percentage, didn’t shy away from getting to the basket but will need to add some bulk to absorb some of the extra contact he’s sure to encounter, foot speed on D is Ok but lateral movement could use some tuning, still with that size makes for an intriguing package as a 2 or 3.
Kennedy Aiken, 5-11, CG, Trinity Prep
You could tell he and Stewart had played together as they were a tough combo to defend with Stewart’s versatility and Aiken’s shooting and driving, excellent on the spot-up at the arc, quick first step off the dribble getting to he basket and finished in close a bunch, can slide over and handle PG allowing Stewart off the ball to do damage.
Matt Willis, 6-4, SF (2021, Salem)
Playing with Express’ unsigned 2021 team he stole the show a bit at the tail end of practice, athletic mover who was a match-up nightmare both out on the perimeter or in near the rim, shot it from deep, put it on the floor, and finished through contact in close, classic under the radar guy from out in Conyers who has a skillset but needs a pop in the exposure department, should get some with a good spring and summer.
