After watching them over the last 4 weeks run roughshod over a good deal of their competition I was excited to get a closer look at the two upper age-group clubs for Georgia Fire, their Elite and Premier teams.

Ron Porter, Chris Burnett and crew do a terrific job now in their 11th year of existence, and their growth, stature and loyalty by players and families is a testament to the program they’ve built from the ground up. It’s a deep roster of talent from predominantly Clayton and Henry counties south of Atlanta, here first we look over the Elite group, many of these names have already have made moves in scout’s eyes:


Jordan Fordyce, 6-4, SG/SF (2022, Eagle’s Landing)

So good was this past season’s state championship ELHS team that an athletic talent like Fordyce was reduced to a supporting role, still he made a mark in their run and with the chance to be in a more feature role with the Fire has put those immense athletic gifts to work on the floor, quickly emerging as a fast-rising 2002 to watch, explosive off the deck both in the halfcourt and off the break he’s becoming matchup
