Milan Momcilovic Milan Momcilovic 6'8" | SF Pewaukee | 2023 State #44 Nation WI — SF — Phenom University
This past high school season, Momcilovic proved why he is ranked as the number one prospect in Wisconsin’s 2023 class. Leading his Pewaukee team to a state championship, the small forward impressed in all aspects of the game. This spring/summer, I expect Momcilovic to play well in front of top college programs. Look for the talented SF to make a name for himself in the recruiting scene.
Mac Wrecke Mac Wrecke 6'5" | SG Arrowhead | 2023 State #272 Nation WI — SG — Phenom University
I knew that Wrecke was a really good prospect that had a future in college basketball. Turns out that the Arrowhead shooting guard is better than I expected. Wrecke is an athletic prospect that can get hot on offense in a hurry. Playing for Phenom University, look for the SG to score a lot of points and make life really difficult for the opposing team.
Deshawn Webb Deshawn Webb 6'3" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2023 State WI — CG — Wisconsin Playground Club
This AAU season, I think that Webb can really take his game to another level. Last summer, the combo guard showed flashes of what his true potential could be. Now, I look for the Wisconsin Playground Club star to put all of the pieces together and really make a huge statement. If he is able to impress, the CG will surely catch the eye of top college programs.
Demerius Shakur Demerius Shakur 6'2" | CG Martin Luther | 2023 State WI — PG — Wisconsin Playground Club
I think that Shakur has a game that is tailor-made for the next level. He is a versatile point guard that can score, pass, and defend. He is really good at slashing into the paint and then finding an open shooter on the perimeter. At 6-foot-3, Shakur has great positional size, which he can use to finish through contact at the rim. I am very excited to see if Shakur can build on what was a great sophomore season at Martin Luther.
Bennett McCormick Bennett McCormick 6'3" | SG Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI — SG — JH1 Elite
As a pure slasher, McCormick is going to give defenders a lot of issues this AAU season. The shooting guard just understands what he has to do in order to get to the rim and score. He combines athletic ability with quickness and intelligence in order to score on the offensive end. If he continues to round out his game, McCormick will no doubt find himself at a top college.
Luther Smith Luther Smith 6'1" | SG Sussex Hamilton | 2023 State WI — SG — Wisconsin Playground Club
When Smith is on the court, the opposing team must know where he is at all times. Because if you leave him open, the shooting guard is getting a shot up and there is a good chance that it is going in. Playing for Wisconsin Playground Club, look for Smith to have some big-time scoring games this spring/summer.
Will Starks Will Starks 6'4" | SF Kenosha Tremper | 2023 State WI — SF — World Hoops Elite
Last summer, Starks was one of the best prospects to play on the Prep Hoops Circuit. The small forward was pretty much unstoppable when he got to the rim. He also did a really nice job of grabbing rebounds in traffic. Expect big things from Stark this AAU season.
