With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2022 Guards.
Brit Harris – 6’2 SG 2022 – Marquette Catholic (IN)
Stats: 17.8 Pts, 4.7 Rebs, 5.9 Asts, 2.1 Stls, 56% FG, 43% 3FG
Thoughts: Brit is a smaller guard that can shoot the absolute lights out. He has nearly unlimited range from the outside. Harris nearly hit the 50-40-90 mark, but he came up just short at just 77% from the free-throw line. In addition to his scoring ability, he is one of the better passers in the Northern part of the state. He has great court vision and is always looking to make the extra pass to the open man. He is an extremely underrated player in the state, and he definitely has next-level potential.

– 5’10 PG 2022 – Fort Wayne Snider (IN)
Stats: 20.5 Pts, 3.4 Rebs, 3.5 Asts, 2.0 Stls, 51% FG, 41% 3FG
Thoughts: Jenkins is a smaller guard, but he plays like the biggest guy in the gym. He has quick handles and a quick release which allows him to get his own shot from almost anywhere. He has in the gym range and will never hesitate to pull up on the right side of half court. With Jenkins and Lambert both coming back for their senior seasons at Fort Wayne Snider, they may be in the conversation for best scoring backcourt in the North side of Indiana. He has already been offered by Huntington, but the interest in him should increase in a major way going into his senior season.
Trey Steinhilber – 6’1 SG 2022 – Boone Grove (IN)
Stats: 17.4 Pts, 3.6 Asts, 1.7 Stls, 51% FG, 38% 3FG
Thoughts: Steinhilber is a smaller guard who uses his quickness to make things happen. He can knock down shots from all over the floor, and he can stop on a dime to knock down the mid-range jumper. Also, as the point guard, he is very unselfish with the basketball and makes plays for his teammates during the game. For Steinhilber to take his game to the next level, he is going to need to bulk up a bit and improve his finishing around the rim. However, his pure shooting talent should give him a good chance at playing at the next level.
