Continue ReadingThe class of 2025 will soon venture onto high school courts around the state of Florida. I have been slowly gathering names in this group to keep in the back of your mind.
This list will continue to evolve as I retain more information. Look for similar pieces over the next several months. I encourage anyone to send me notes about this class for accurate transparency.
Let’s look at some prospects…
Anthony Knowles – SLAM
Knowles is a prospect that has already gained high school experience. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged a solid 11.2 points and 2.6 assists per game in nine recorded contests. Moreover, Knowles recorded six games in double-figures and shot 37 percent from the perimeter. His 71 percent shooting from the free-throw line appears to undercut his ability from that area. I only found one game out of seven contests where he struggled from the line. He will be a prospect to lookout for no matter where he plays as a freshman next season.
Alexander Lloyd – Westminster Academy
Lloyd looks like a serious player in this class with his length and athleticism. The 6-foot-3 guard has been gaining valuable experience playing for the Nightrydas Elite. Lloyd has strong ball skills and already plays above the rim. He will be joining a Westminster Academy team that includes 3-star prospect Aidan Abell Aidan Abell 6'6" | SG Westminster Academy | 2022 State FL and 2023 Jaylen Carey Jaylen Carey 6'8" | PF Westminster Academy | 2023 State #129 Nation FL . The Lions also added Sagemont transfer Rickey Ballard Rickey Ballard 6'6" | CG Westminster | 2022 State FL . Knowles will have a good core to learn from under head coach Ehren Wallhoff.
Jevah Chervin – Coral Springs
Chervin will likely suit up for Coral Springs in the fall. He has a strong base and scores a high volume of his points attacking the basket. He will come into the Colts’ system with good size at 6-foot-1. Chervin is keen as a perimeter defender and provides help on the offensive glass. I like both of those qualities on face value coming from a guard. He averaged 18 points at Forest Glen Middle so his offensive potential should overlap.
Alex Pierre-Louis – Coral Springs
Pierre-Louis is another prospect that will likely lace ’em up for the Colts in the fall. The 6-foot-2 guard is a physical player that can score inside and out. I expect him to be a factor from the perimeter next season. His playmaking ability should boost the Colts’ fluidity on the court. Furthermore, Pierre-Louis is a strong passer with a good feel for the game. He should only get better this offseason and be a impact player from the jump.
