Allen has a great chance to maintain that ranking and potentially surpass No.1 overall Ryan Jones Ryan Jones 6'9" | PF The Rock | 2024 State #48 Nation FL .
However….who has the best chance to challenge him in the region?
Let me put on my best thinking cap and offer up some picks.
Amare Sanders

Sanders
6'2" | CG
Gulliver Prep | 2024
FL
– Gulliver Prep (PH. 18)
Sanders is currently a 6-foot-1 guard, but I expect him to develop. He is one of those prospects you could see one day and in a couple months be impressed by his growth (see below). That combined with his guard skills makes me believe he has a chance to rise. Sanders also played on a very young team for Gulliver Prep this season. His maturation on the court should go hand in hand with the team’s overall improvement. Sanders does have the advantage of entering his third season as a varsity player. His overall shooting skill should be an area of emphasis this off-season. He is the younger brother of 6-foot-7 swingman Tony Sanders Tony Sanders 6'6" | SF Gulliver Prep | 2020 State #309 Nation FL Jr., who recently completed his freshman season with Notre Dame.
Christian Reid Christian Reid 6'5" | SF Mater Lakes | 2024 State FL – SLAM Miami (PH 13)
Reid recently completed his freshman season at SLAM in Miami. The future is very bright for this kid no matter where he ends up. The 6-foot-4 guard/forward averaged 15.4 points and 8.8 rebounds on 58 percent shooting from the floor. Those are impressive numbers at any class level, let alone from a freshman. One area I would like to see him improve is his free-throw shooting. Reid shot 53 percent from the line. His 7 double-doubles foreshadows his potential.
Jordyn Kee Jordyn Kee 6'5" | CG Coranado | 2024 NV – Archbishop McCarthy (PH. 14)
Kee is a prospect I look forward to see play more and more. He has an incredible handle and knack to get at the rim. His 6-foot-4 size combined with his athleticism is a nightmare to defend. Therefore, Kee has a solid chance of getting to the Division-1 level. He might be my first pick to reach top five status in this class.
Malik Abdullahi Malik Abdullahi 6'6" | SF Columbus | 2024 State FL – Columbus (PH 22)
Hard to pick against a kid with the production and length of Abdullahi at this stage. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 8.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per game for the Explores. Moreover, Abdullahi had a 20 rebound effort against Miami Norland. The Vikings were a very good team last season! He added 15 other contests with ten or more boards. Those are consistent efforts you cannot overlook. Moreover, his relentless motor is a nice intangible for a first year player.
Latrell Flenor Latrell Flenor 6'7" | PF South Miami | 2024 FL – South Miami (PH. 25)
Flenor is a frontcourt player that grabbed 8.5 boards and rejected two blocks per game last season via available statistics. He stands at 6-foot-7 with a advanced skill set on the defensive end. On the flip side, his offensive production might have a little catching up to do. However, South Miami is usually a very good team that produces talent. Remember Brandon Sanders? Arturo Dean Arturo Dean 5'11" | CG South Miami | 2021 State FL ? Keep an eye on Flenor’s progression into next season.
