This is especially true in the 2024 class as they are starting to show their potential. Here are some of the 2024 frontcourt prospects who have already raised their stocks during the spring AAU season.
Luke Bevilacqua Luke Bevilacqua 6'10" | C George School | 2025 State #68 Nation PA , 6’9 PF/C St. Augustine
Bevilacqua has had a good start to his AAU season with Team Final and it should only go up from there. The 6’9 post player knows how to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Bevilacqua is tough to keep off the glass and uses his length effectively on the defensive end. He is working on his range and is an underrated passer. Bevilacqua is a skilled forward prospect who stock should continue to rise as the AAU season goes on.
Alex Konov Alex Konov 6'7" | PF Manasquan | 2024 State NJ , 6’7 PF Wildwood Catholic Academy
Konov has provided Team Rio University the size and shooting the 15U team needed. The 6’7 stretch four has a nice release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Konov is quite comfortable playing on the perimeter and is able to finish around the basket. He knows how to create space for himself off the ball and is an underrated rebounder. Konov’s ability to stretch the floor will only help increase his value for teams at the next level.
Richard Brisco Richard Brisco 6'8" | C Hillcrest Prep | 2024 State AZ , 6’8 PF Roselle Catholic
Brisco has been a hot commodity over the past couple of weeks as he has picked up three D1 offers in April. The 6’8 forward has a motor that does not stop on either end and fights for rebounds. Brisco is one of the better post defenders in the class as he uses his size and length to swat shots. He has a nice touch around the basket and is working on his range. Brisco is having a strong start to his spring AAU season with the NY Rens and his stock will only go up as Aprils turns to May and June.
James Moore James Moore 6'9" | PF Olympus Prep | 2024 State #237 Nation NJ , 6’9 SF/PF Patrick School
Moore has taken full advantage of the NYC Invitational as he has used it to springboard his stock up. The 6’9 combo forward is comfortable playing on the perimeter as his range extends past the three-point line. Moore can also put the ball on the floor and finish with authority above the rim. He has the athleticism and length to defend multiple positions and is one of the better shot-blockers in the class. Moore is starting to scratch the surface of his potential as he continues to have a big AAU season for the NY Rens.
Owen Griffin Owen Griffin 6'4" | SF St. Joe's Metuchen | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SF St. Joe’s Metuchen
Griffin has emerged as one of the go-to guys for Hoop Heaven Hawks Elite, which should only help his confidence moving forward. The 6’2 wing has a strong frame which he uses to draw contact on his way to the basket. Griffin has a nice touch around the basket and is capable of knocking down open jumpers on the perimeter. He attacks the glass on both ends of the floor and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Griffin may be flying under the radar now, but he will be a player to keep an eye on this AAU season
