The 2023 class in the Garden State is special with seven players in the top 75 of Prep Hoops National Rankings. The talent is spread throughout the class as there are several players who are ready to break onto the scene. Here are the top 2023 under the radar guards on the verge of a breakout season.

Noah Payne Noah Payne 5'10" | PG Eastern | 2023 State NJ , 5’10 PG Eastern

The Vikings have to replace the graduations of  Tazir Cantey Tazir Cantey 6'0" | PG Eastern | 2021 State NJ  and  Zubair Lee Zubair Lee 6'5" | SF Eastern | 2021 State NJ , who were a dynamic duo all season in the Olympic Conference all season. Payne has been a steady presence in his first two seasons and is ready for a larger role in the offense. The 5’10 guard has a good handle and is able to finish around the rim. Payne makes smart decisions with the ball in his hands and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Eastern should be in position for a strong 2022 season with Payne getting more looks on the offensive end.
