Plenty of teams have brought on 2021’s to play as unsigned seniors and continued to give them an opportunity to prove themselves on the hardwood. Here are some names playing this weekend
Luke Williams Luke Williams 6'0" | PG Olathe South | 2021 State KS , 6’ Point Guard, Olathe South, Rise and Grind: The talented floor general will be talking the floor this weekend. With some college interest out there, Williams will be using this spring to put a final stamp on his resume. He will be a nice point guard piece for programs with his ability to see the floor, attack the paint, and make plays for his teammates. His floater game stands out, and his ability to get to the foul line as well. Always has a steady demeanor.
Jack Webb Jack Webb 6'4" | CG Shawnee Mission South | 2021 State KS , 6’2 Guard, Shawnee Mission South, Rise and Grind (Pictured): A solid two guard with nice size, shooting ability, and intangibles. He has helped make plays on the floor that help win games whether its guarding talented wings, mixing it up with forwards inside, getting loose balls, and is a really good offensive rebounding guard. Reliable knock down shooter from distance with college level range.
Kyren Angelo Kyren Angelo 5'7" | CG Washington | 2021 State KS , 5’7 Point Guard, Washington, Rise and Grind: A smaller but quick point guard who is terrific in transition, has a quick pop in his pull up jumpers, and has great vision looking up the floor. He can put a ton of pressure on teams on the defensive end guarding the basketball and can get under ball handlers. Packs a lot of punch in his frame and is a really solid guard.
Marcus Meeks, 6’9 Forward, Shawnee Mission East/Brewster Prep (NH), 816 Varsity: Has great size and length and is a great defensive big. Active hands, good instincts, and timing allow him to get to a lot of shots and either alter attempts or block shots. Very good at doing his work early in the post on both ends to establish positions, runs the floor well, and can finish with angles.
Connor Robertson, 6’5 Guard/Forward, Sunrise Christian, 816 Varsity: Robertson is a high quality wing with college range and consistency and has done a lot of winning as of late. Great IQ for where to be on the floor, great spacer, and screens and cuts well. His length on the perimeter combined with his shooting ability alone make him an intriguing prospect.
