Either way, the Southern Connecticut Championship was headed to West Haven, Connecticut. West Haven HS and Notre Dame-West Haven squared off at the Floyd Little Athletic Field House in New Haven, CT to determine a champion. After a first half with various lead changes, West Haven HS was able to pull away in the second half. The final score was 69-49. Head Coach Ty Sullivan was able to land the school’s first-ever SCC Championship in his third season at the helm.

Kairon Hooks ’21 who played for Notre Dame in the past had reason to play with extra energy and motivation. The 6’4" senior forward controlled the glass and contributed on both ends of the court. He capped off his performance with an explosive and one dunk coming off the baseline. He finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists
