Garrett Lynch Garrett Lynch 6'4" | SF St. James | 2022 State KS , 6’4 Forward, 2022, St James (Pictured): Lynch plays so hard night in and night out, that he is someone teams would love to have on the floor for them come playoff time. A prime role player for St James this season averaging 4.5 points and 5 rebounds per game, Lynch erupted for 19 in their road win at Highland Park. He was an extremely efficient 8 of 9 from the field.
Sam Somerhalder Sam Somerhalder 6'7" | SF St. James Academy | 2022 State KS , 6’7 Forward, 2022, St James: The talented 2022 forward continued to bring it in the win over Highland Park as well, going 7 of 8 from the field and scoring 14 points in the game. The two man tandem inside of Lynch and Somerhalder will be something to watch as they continue to advance in the post season. In a primetime matchup against Desoto who also has two extremely talented bigs, Somerhalder and Lynch’s play on Wednesday could bode well for them in that clash. Somerhalder has the footwork, arsenal of moves, and strength to score on pretty much anyone in the area.
Wyatt Noll Wyatt Noll 6'4" | PF DeSoto | 2021 State KS , 6’5 Forward, 2021, De Soto: Speaking of that big man matchup with St James to come, Wyatt Noll Wyatt Noll 6'4" | PF DeSoto | 2021 State KS of De Soto was absolutely dominant in their Sub State win over Shawnee Heights. His boxing out and then go getting a rebound ability is some of the best I have seen and he had a couple of big time box outs last night and cleaned up on the glass. His big body and physicality was too much to handle for Heights, and the high low game between Noll and teammate Nate Barnhart Nate Barnhart 6'9" | PF DeSoto | 2021 State KS was a beauty. Noll finished with 20 points, 11 Rebounds, and 5 assists. Truly dominant.
Jace Linenberger Jace Linenberger 6'7" | C Hays | 2022 State KS , 6’6 Forward, 2022, Hays: In a big win over Great Bend, Linenberger played an efficient all around dominant basketball game. His length and sized gave Great Bend lots of issues, and the Hays forward’s skill set really shined. He drilled his single three attempt, and his soft touch led him to shoot 6 of 7 from the field from inside the arc. He finished with 21 points,, assists, and 7 rebounds in the game.
Dayln Schwarz Dayln Schwarz 6'6" | SF Hays | 2021 State KS , 6’6 Forward, 2021, Hays: Getting in on the action inside with Linenberger was Schwarz, who had 14 points, 5 boards, on 6 of 9 shooting from the field. He plays well scoring with angles and using the glass, and has a strong base when scoring the ball. He has had a great season so far, so nice to see him continue to control the painted area in the post season as well.
