Here is a list of players that made a name for themselves outside of Utah.

6’5 James Rust James Rust 6'5" | CG Timpview | 2023 State UT || Utah Prospects|| Timpview High School|| 2023
James was a jack of all trades as he was handling the ball, shooting it from long range and breaking players down and hitting that mid-range. James has stepped it up defensively as he is guarding at a high level. James was running the floor and getting one handed and two handed throw-downs. James is blossoming as his game is really hitting another dimension early in the grassroots season.
6’0 PG Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT || Utah Prospects|| Cyprus High School|| 2023
Quentin is playing a different style of basketball right now. He is embracing the up and down pace and he is just smart with the ball in his hands. He is making some tough passes and nailing some tough contested shots. Defensively he is taking strides forward as he has to defend some elite shifty guards. Impressed with his grit and desire to get better and lead. Look for Quentin to get to another gear this grassroots this season.
6’9 PF Lyman Simmons Lyman Simmons 6'10" | PF RSL Academy | 2023 State UT || Utah Prospects|| Snow Canyon High School|| 2023
Lyman was showcasing his bigger body, strength and inside outside touch. When Lyman got deep in the paint he was really tough to stop with his high release right and left hook. Cleaned up some misses near the rim and threw them down. Impressed with his touch and confidence to not only hit the trail three but having him space out beyond the short-corner and hit that corner 3-ball. Lyman will only get better as he continues to develop during the grassroots season.

6’4 W David Katoa David Katoa 6'4" | CG Layton | 2024 State #255 Nation UT || Utah Prospects|| RSL Academy|| 2024
David is one of those athletes that literally jumps out at you. The kid can fly. David was all over the floor snatching rebounds on both ends of the floor. He was constantly finding ways to get to the rim. Great looking deep ball. You can see the amount of work that was put into his game and he will only get better.
6’2 CG Julian Bowie|| Utah Prospects|| Pocatello High School|| 2024
Julian displayed why he is one of the best prospects in the Class of 2024 and also why D1’s are trying to get on him early. We saw him able to take over and assert himself in the game. He is strong and if he can get his feet right he can hit those long balls at a high percentage. Every school in Idaho should put on the full-court press on him now before it’s too late.
6’6 W Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT || Utah Prospects|| Corner Canyon High School|| 2024
Brody has a great looking shot with a high release. His mechanics are ahead of his age. While his size might distract from his ability to shoot right now, do not underestimate that he is a scoring guard that can guard and play inside sometimes. Brody showed his range and he also rebounded the ball well. He was active at both ends of the floor. Needs to improve his ability to be ready to shoot off of balls screens but he has time and he will get better this grassroots season.
