Here we look at under the radar players, who could make a name for them self and raze their stock this season.
Jeff Grabowski NYBL class 11th, position C
Jeff is very tall and has a long reach. For his size he has decent skills, and coordination. Jeff is a decent finisher, but could improve on his touch around the rim. If Jeff got stronger and built up more, I think that would help him. Watching Jeff over the years I have seen flashes where he can be dominate. Jeff is a good player with a big potential. This is the first year for the NYBL team, so it will be interesting to see how the program does.
Maayan Fogel Maayan Fogel SF Newton North | 2025 NLG ASA , position F, class 8th grade
Mayan is a very hard worker and has a great attitude. He is a good kid to coach and have on your team. Mayan is tough, and aggressive on offense and defense. Maayan may not be the fastest player on the court but is strong Over the last few years Maayan has really improved. He is a solid all around player who can hit the mid rang shot and score in the paint. He is very physical boxing out. Mayan plays small forward. He is improving on his handles and his off hand finishing, and I expect him to keep getting better. In the town league he played in, Maayan helped lead his team to win the championship.
John Thompson Mass Sting, position SF, Grade 9th
John is a stretch forward who spends most of his time out on the wing, and scoring off the dribble and shooting. I think if he got stronger, he could do better at finishing in the paint. John has a good shot for a big and is a threat to shoot from three. So many bigs now want to shoot. John does have a good shot, but with his height his team could benefit from him playing down low more as well. John is good on the pick and pop 3 three, as i have seen him hit a few threes off the pick and pop.
Jake Steinmann Jake Steinmann 6'0" | SG North Middlesex Regional | 2025 NLG Mass Elite, Class 9th, position combo forward/ Guard
Jake is a versatile guard, who stretch the floor and can score in the paint, and transition. Jake is an excellent passer. You will see him make flashy passes, but he makes good passes, and sees the floor well. Jake is still developing and will continue to get better. His potential is high.
Damante Mante Boston Bobcats class 9th, position G
Damante is a 6-2 guard and still growing. He is just starting to get the attention that he deserves and will keep getting better. He is a high level guard with strong play making skills. He can get to the rim with ease and if you need a basket you can count on him, Damante is very quick and athletic. He has a crafty set of handles and is not afraid to shoot from anywhere. Damante could be a high level player if he keeps developing.
