Kier Jordan (Westinghouse – 2021)
Jordan was dynamic in this contest especially at the beginning. The 5’10” point guard was unguardable in the first half as he got to the rim at will with his shifty handles while also keeping the defense off balance with his ability to knock down the three ball. Speed in transition and was adept at converting difficult layups at the rim. He scored 22 points in the victory. Small colleges should definitely take a look here.
Gary Johns Gary Johns 6'6" | PF Westinghouse | 2021 State IL (Westinghouse – 2021)
Johns has a long and rangy frame with projectability. The 6’7” post high pointed rebounds in traffic rebounding well both in and out of his area as he chased down quite a few. Mobile in the paint finishing a reverse layup on one end and swatting shots on the other. Bricked a few shots, but also showed touch on a baseline 15 foot jumper. Worth looking into at the small college and JUCO level as he has developmental upside. He had 8 points and 11 rebounds.
Martell Webb Martell Webb 6'7" | C Tinley Park | 2022 State IL (Westinghouse – 2022)
Webb is a wide bodied five man at 6’7” that is built like an offensive tackle. Rebounds very well in his area snatching them with his strong hands. Had a put back and couple other finishes inside. Most of his value on the offensive end is bully ball, but he does flash footwork. Post to track this summer. Webb finished with 5 points and 12 boards.
Chris McQueen Chris McQueen 6'6" | PF Lane Tech | 2021 State IL (Lane Tech – 2021)
McQueen is a face up four man that can stretch the floor with his shooting as he showed in this one along with being able to put it on the deck from the high-post. Defensive versatility being able to switch and guard multiple spots. Solid rebounder that should find a home at the D3 or NAIA level.
