Over the course of three days, six Washington State High School teams took the court with the Seattle Friends of Hoop program winning the championship in the 17U Division and Seattle Rotary winning the 15U division. This article highlights some of Washington’s State’s best scoring guards.
Noah Pepper Noah Pepper 6'4" | SG Selah | 2021 State WA Sr. 6’5″ SG Selah High School
Pepper is a 3 level scorer, although he is known for his 3pt shooting. He uses his size very well to create mismatches and takes advantage of smaller guards. Pepper is a flat-out scorer who is receiving interest from D-2 and D-3.
Tyce Paulson Soph. 6’4″ CG Curtis High School
Paulson’s deadly shooting and crafty handles were on display again. He uses his change of pace so well in the open court that it allows him to showcase his passing ability. High major prospect with offers from Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, and Montana State.
Brooklyn Hicks Soph. 6’3″ CG Timberline High School
Hicks has a combination of athleticism, motor, and skill. He is always on the attack putting pressure on the opponent’s defense with his size and skill. He is a big guard that can score and defend. High Major prospect with offers from Washington State, Oregon State, and Eastern Washington.
Isiah Watts Jr. 6’4″ CG West Seattle High School
Watts is a prototype SG for the next level. He is a catch-and-shoot threat from deep with a silky smooth skill set off the dribble. His feel and shot-making are off the charts at 6’5, he is a legit scoring combo guard.
Owen Moriarty Jr. 6’2″ CG O’Dea High School
Owen is a strong 6’2 guard that can make shots from all 3 levels. He has a high IQ and feels for the game that allows him to use his athleticism on the offensive and defensive end. He is already gaining interest from Division 2 programs.
