Team GRRR a grassroots program in NorCal had a good group, plus an improving 2022 prospect, and a 2021 commit on it’s roster at this event.
Ryan Kiachian Ryan Kiachian 6'9" | PF Bellarmine | 2021 State CA-N 6’10 Forward/Center. Bellarmine College Prep, San Jose, CA. 2021
The 6’10 post player who’s committed to Cornell University has improved his muscle mass, and is now better able to handle the physical play that goes on inside. He looks to have a new determination when it comes to playing in the post. He was active on both ends trying to dunk and block everything. He’s looking better spotting up shooting 3’s.
Emmanuel Callas Emmanuel Callas 6'5" | SF Campolindo | 2021 State CA-N 6’5 Wing/Guard. Campolindo HS, Moraga, CA. 2021
The 6’5 unsigned senior continues to be a productive player when he’s on the court. He’s a versatile player who doesn’t make a lot of mistakes during the game. He contributes on both end of the court. Offensively he gives you good production on the wings, knocking down jump shots or maneuvering his was to the basket for buckets. He’ll rebound, and lead the transition break. He’s a good passer into the post and will find cutters.
Landon Wiedenfeld Landon Wiedenfeld 6'6" | SF Granada | 2021 State CA-N 6’6 Wing/Forward Granada HS. Livermore, CA. 2021
Wiedenfield, is emerging as a top unsigned Senior in NorCal. He’s been a steady performer in the post area for a while with this team. His contributions in the post rebounding, defending, and scoring have made a difference. At this event (Kiachian 6’10) took care of post duties, Wiedenfield spent quality time on the wings, and perimeter. He runs the court in transition, creating scoring opportunities for himself. He shot the ball well from mid-range, and 3pt land.
Aidan Sevilla Aidan Sevilla 6'0" | CG Dougherty Valley | 2021 State CA-N 6’0 Guard Dougherty Valley HS, San Ramon, CA. 2021
Sevilla is an underrated prospect. The unsigned Senior can deliver buckets in the crunch. Whether it’s knocking down open 3’s or using one of his many moves keeping bigger players off balance getting inside for finishes.
Chase Bennett Chase Bennett 5'10" | PG Campolindo | 2021 State CA-N 5’10 Combo Guard, Campolindo HS. Moraga, CA. 2021
Bennett unsigned Senior has made good improvements in his game, he seems to have found what works best for him and the team. He’s a scrappy on ball defender, and works hard to keep ball handlers out of the paint. He can run the offense, and make good decisions with the ball. He’s also improved his 3 point shooting.
Cade Bennett Cade Bennett 6'0" | PG Campolindo | 2022 State CA-N 6’0 Point Guard, Campolindo HS. Moraga, CA. 2022
Bennett has taken a big step in his production on the court. He’s improved his point guard skills across the board. He seems to be a pass first point guard, with good vision, feeding the post, and finding open shooters on the drive and kick. He shows a good amount of toughness getting into the paint. He’s improved his shot. He’s an improving prospect in the 2022 class.
Conner Stechschulte 6’2 Combo Guard. Monte Vista HS Danville, CA.
Stechschulte is a muscular combo guard, who plays heads up on the defensive end, he works his way through picks, and screens to stay close to the defender. He’s a good help defender always in position. He showed good patience directing the offense in the half court. He has the body to deal with the contact on the drive.
Christian Carter Christian Carter 6'1" | CG De La Salle | 2021 State CA-N 6’2 Guard De La Salle HS Dublin, CA. 2021.
Carter is an improved guard with good strength, and a thick body to handle the physical contact on the court. He’s a mover, and a cutter. He sets screen that’s hard to get around. He uses his body to protect the ball while handling it. He’s a guard that will rebound, and sacrifice his body scrapping for loose ball.
Jacoby Lacey 6’4 Wing. Dougherty Valley HS Dublin, CA. 2021
Lacey has good hand, and footspeed. He has a good first step that helps him get by defenders on the wing, and baseline. He did well taking it to the basket in transition. He has long arms, and a good wide stance on the defensive side of the ball. He can defend on the perimeter.
Clayton Mahloch 6’2 Forward. Clayton Valley HS Clayton Valley, CA. 2021
A 6’2 wide body small forward who’ll work for rebounds, set good screens, and hustle up the court. He plays hard. He’s a ball mover with good passing. He can hit deep 3’s if left unguarded.
