Miege Forwards
The tandem of 6’7 2022 forward Taj Manning and 6’7 2022 Forward Mark Mitchell Mark Mitchell 6'7" | SF Sunrise | 2022 State #8 Nation KS are not only two of the best players in the 4A state tournament, but in all of the remaining teams across the state tournament brackets. There combination of size, athleticism, and skill make them an incredibly tough duo to stop. Both are high level college prospects who will be able to contribute at the next level right away. Their rim protection and length to disrupt plays on the defensive end of the floor is also a standout.
Miege Guards
2021 G Harrison Braudis Harrison Braudis 6'1" | PG Stillwell | 2021 State KS (Pictured), 2022 G Xavier Hall Xavier Hall 5'11" | CG Bishop Miege | 2022 State KS , and 2022 G Christian Bowen-Webb Christian Bowen-Webb 6'2" | CG Bishop Miege | 2022 State KS are a three headed monster in the back court. Braudis provides a great overall game; the physicality, athleticism, sharp shooting ability, leadership, and defensive prowess makes him the total package from the guard spot. Hall is a blur with the ball and a great playmaker, averaging about 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game this year. Bowen-Webb is a confident and effective three point shooter who has helped bust zones thrown at Miege this year and has helped sparked big time runs with his shot making.
Elsewhere in the Bracket
Seth Madron Seth Madron 6'2" | SG Mcpherson | 2022 State KS , 6’1 Guard, McPherson, 2022: The Bullpups are going to bring it against Miege in the semi finals matchup and if they are to pull of the upset, Madron will likely be the catalyst for it. He is one of the guys on the roster who can physically matchup with the size and athleticism with Miege. He has a good burst off the dribble, can play at the rim, defends tremendously well, and can knock down some open shots.
Xander Roberts, 6’1 Guard, Augusta, 2021: Roberts is a knockdown shooter who plays with a tremendous competitive nature. He is confident and can hit big time shots in big games, which makes him a lethal weapon come playoff time. He can get his shot off the move, stationary, or off the dribble. He is capable of putting together a state playoff big time performance that could make some big noise in the final 4.
Kaden McDaniel Kaden McDaniel 6'4" | PF Augusta | 2023 State KS , 6’4 Forward, Augusta, 2023: The young McDaniel is primed for a big time high school career, and a great showing at the state tournament should be the staple on that. He has great size and length, plays with patience in the post area, can pass out of the post, and has solid moves over both shoulders. He is great at playing off being a screener as well, especially popping and shooting off the catch.
Julian Margrave Julian Margrave 6'9" | SF Louisberg | 2022 KS , 6’9 Forward, Louisberg, 2022: Margrave is another player who is simply one of the best players in this 4A state bracket and in the state of Kansas. He has elite height and length, and can score over the tops of defenses. One of the most versatile players around, he can protect the rim, lead the break off the dribble, shoot 3’s off the move, and can make dribble moves and attack the rim. Margrave has been putting together the entire package this season, and a clash with Miege could be a ton of fun.
