6’5 F David Calvert David Calvert 6'6" | PF Fremont | 2023 State UT , Fremont High School
David is a strong player. He really stood out in early February when he posted a 20 point game against Northridge where he dominated the paint. From then on out his confidence took another step forward. Although David has a big frame he has soft hands and a good touch around the rim. Moving forward Fremont has a player that they can really rely on down on the blocks.
6’0 PG Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT , Cyprus High School
In just two years “Q” is just a game or two away from reaching 1,000 points. That would make anyone stand out. Last season it seemed as if he was leanning on the three as he hit 53. This year he was really efficient and he still hit 51 three’s. Quentin had 4 double-doubles this year off of assits and one that included rebounds. This next year is the year he gets that triple-double. Quentin is quick nd knows how to use his angles to get to the rim or to his spots.
6’5 G Micah Madry Micah Madry 6'5" | CG Hillcrest | 2023 State UT , Hillcrest High School
Talk about a player finding the right fit. Micah looked comfortable late in the season in early February where he started to make an impact when he was on the floor. Micah is a good rebounding guard with size that can push the ball up the floor. Micah has a great looking three-ball and he has a quick 1st step off the dribble. Micah stood out with some nice inside/outside games where he scored in double-figures.
6’5 G James Rust James Rust 6'5" | CG Timpview | 2023 State UT , Timpview High School
James is the next man up over at Timpview which seems to be a reoccurring occurrence. James is a gamer. He has been a standout since he earned his playing time. A stat line that includes 11 PPG, 5 RPG and 2 APG. James is going to be a go to guy moving forward and he has some great leadership skills. Sneaky athlete that also uses his angles and IQ to his advantage.
6’3 G Jaxon Smith Jaxon Smith 6'1" | PG Woods Cross | 2023 State UT , Woods Cross High School
Jaxon posted a great stat line this season as he scored 11 PPG, 2 RPG and 2 APG and he also knocked down 47 three-pointers. Jaxon got off to a slow start but he found his groove quickly as he posted a 20 point off of 7 three’s performance early in the season that really got his confidence going. Jaxon is good with the ball in his hands and he can shoot the ball. Great shooter off of the dribble. Jaxon will continue to light it up from deep for the next few years.
