Spring is right around the corner. With spring comes the transition into grassroots basketball. As we prepare for that transition, here is a rundown of five local 2023 prospects to keep an eye on.

Zane Adnan Zane Adnan 6'2" | CG Bullis | 2023 State MD has all the tools you look for in a high-level guard. He has the size and skill to hurt you from multiple spots on the floor. Adnan has quickly turned from a role player into a difference-maker. His influence at Bullis should continue to strengthen. Expect him to make noise on the grassroots circuit in the meantime. 

Anthony Davenport Anthony Davenport 6'7" | C St. John's | 2023 State MD

The step up from playing JV at Richard Montgomery to varsity at St. John’s comes with a learning curve. Anthony Davenport Anthony Davenport 6'7" | C St. John's | 2023 State MD is a promising long-term prospect with tremendous hands and floor spacing ability. He’ll get a chance to grow alongside one of the better young cores in the DC Area. Look for Davenport to establish himself with a grassroots organization this spring.
