Austin Tyson, senior, Burlingame:
The Bearcats won a tough one over Cair Paravel. Of course Trever Quaney Trever Quaney 6'8" | C Burlingame | 2022 State KS and Lance Noonan turned in their usual strong performances with 20 and 13 points apiece. But 5-foot-10 senior guard Tyson was big with three 3-pointers and 12 points in the 55-54 win.
Keaton Bargman, senior, Linn:
The Bulldogs escaped with a 49-47 win over Pike Valley. Th 6-foot-2 Bargman was enormous with 22 points, including three 3-pointers.
Ryan Wolgram, senior, Madison:
Wolgram is often more of a facilitator and defender for the Bulldogs, but Friday he was the leading scorer, burying seven 3-pointers. Only one of his teammates broke double-figures, and he nearly signle-handedly outscored the opponent. Wolgram accounted for 31 points in the 67-37 win over Colony Crest.
Spencer Coup, freshman, Solomon:
Man, what a game by the 5-foot-10 freshman. He’s scored in double figures numerous times this year, but nothing like the 28 he poured in against Rural Vista. He got to the line 17 times. He also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Cameron Campuzano, senior, Rural Vista:
Rural Vista fell to Solomon. In Campuzano’s last high school game, he stuffed the stat sheet once again. Of course he pulled down 11 rebounds, and he also tossed in 21 points, including three 3-pointers.
Jeremiah Duncan, senior, Blue Valley-Randolph:
The Rams’ season was ended by 44-40. The 6-foot-4 senior left it all on the floor, putting in 21 points. He has established a bit of routine, going for 20 or more in a lot of the Rams’ games after the holidays.
Raef Osterhaus, junior, Centralia:
The Panthers got by Doniphan West 60-48 Friday, powered by 25 points from Osterhaus. The 6-foot-1 junior has really stepped up to fill the void of a really good graduating class. Osterhaus has scored in double-figures in nearly every game this season, including a season-high 26 against Hanover.
Samuel Gros, junior, Frankfort:
Frankfort’s 61-41 win over Onaga was a true team effort. Eight different players scored, with three in double figures. But the 6-foot-3 Gros stands out with his seven buckets from the field and 16 points to lead all scorers.
Ali Smith, sophomore, Hartford:
Smith has been getting it going of late. The 5-foot-8 guard who made a big impression as a freshman has taken his game to the next level in the last few weeks. The Jaguars ran away from Chase early, with Smith producing 16 points in the 48-30 win. Smith has netted at least 16 in four of the last five games.
