Chris Lanns, 6-4, SG, Collins Hill
Can play for me any day with his freakish athletic ability and great moxie and confidence, add to that great size and a good frame at 6-4 and this is truly one of the absolute available steals out there in the ATL-Metro right now, plays above the rim both in his driver-it game as well as an active player on the glass, can step out and hurt you from the 3-point line.
Devin Pope, 6-2, CG, Cross Creek (pictured above)
Riding high I’m sure off their riveting 3A state title win over vaunted Sandy Creek, was right there with Yacinthe and Lanns for most impressive overall performs, there wasn’t much not to like, a gorgeous-looking stroke from all levels, an easy smoothness about how he handles the rock, got the basket with plenty of strength and can play either guard spot with equal effectiveness, really wasn’t anyone there that could stop him.
Anthony Mitchell, 6-3, SG, Southwest Atlanta Christian
Love the length at 6-3 as a wing slasher in the classic mold, that length makes him a terrific defensive prospect alone with his ability to guard 3 spots equally well, looked to drive it hard but has plenty of shooting skill to stay out past the arc and be effective, such versatility requires a look from small schools here in my view.
Marc Mauge, 6-2, CG, Buford
The talent level that I saw in spurts at Lambert came to fruition inside of a good season at Buford, strong with the ability to play the guard spot I love how he can get downhill and out-physical a lot of other guards even at only 6-2, that strength and versatility combined with nice shooting touch makes him a very intriguing look for D2 and D3 schools looking for versatile backcourt men.
Braxton Benham Braxton Benham 6'1" | CG Cass | 2021 State GA , 6-1, PG, Cass
Always impressed with his speed and attacking nature, can get hot from long range when not busting through pressure as a penetrator or leading an exciting fast break, enthusiastic defender with excellent hands.
LePra George LePra George 6'2" | CG Sprayberry | 2021 State GA , 6-2, PG, Sprayberry
Plays so hard and is such a natural leader at the PG spot, in an era where pushing pace is encouraged few can get out into space quicker, a great facilitator who will make solid decisions be it dishing out double-digit assists for you or being your top scoring option, a true sleeper among a city full of good sleepers at guard.
Dylan Bennifield, 6-0, PG, Mt Paran
Among the more impressive pure PG’s I saw and size was not a factor with his quick, aggressive push game and interior attack, absolutely fearless in all aspects with a nice jump shot and a willingness to do whatever the possession takes, A+ defender.
William Gray-Watson, 5-11, PG, Peachtree Ridge
Another standout pure point, best passer I saw all day with some tremendous full-court looks on a string, there’s nothing wrong with a pass-first PG in my book who can play defense and give you timely offense when needed.
