David Hansraj David Hansraj 6'0" | CG River Ridge | 2023 State GA , 6-1, PG, GA Stars Select (2023, River Ridge, pictured above)
Gaining in confidence each time out it seems, gotten bigger and stronger and that has made him an even tougher match going to the basket where he was already a crafty and strong finisher, always had a good 3-point stroke as well and just is looking more and more the part of a maturing, scoring PG with a ton of upside, will almost certainly take on a much bigger role for a River Ridge team next year with tons of talent back.
Evan Daniel Evan Daniel 6'7" | SF North Cobb | 2023 State GA , 6-5, PF, GA Stars Select (2023, North Cobb)
Almost didn’t recognize him he’s undergone such a body and game transformation, raw but tlangted last year I only got eyes on him for a few minutes Saturday but he was up above the rim most of that time and looking like a long, rangy, 6-5 terror near the basket, was cleaning the glass and flying around and getting up and down the floor like a gazelle, has come a long way since last summer and this is one to watch for sure all travel season long.
Gabe Omoregie, 6-4, SF, GA Stars Select (2023, Dacula)
Loved Omoregie at our Top 250 last fall, and although I missed him (ankle) when I saw Dacula during the regular season I knew he’d be a treat to watch this weekend, got off to a slow start but showed how big a handful he can be near the basket in the 2nd half, plays such a physical brand of ball he resembles more like a 6-8 post man than the actual slick small forward he is, can hurt you away from the basket as well with plenty of range and is yet another monster Stars prospect to watch.
Josh Fulton Josh Fulton 6'5" | SF Greater Atlanta Christian | 2022 State GA , 6-5, CG, AC Georgia (2022, GAC)
The AC Georgia guys were quick to turn me on to Fulton seeing as I hadn’t seen GAC at all this past season, and even though it wasn’t their best overall performance Saturday as a group, you could see all of the things that make Fulton fascinating – great size a the guard spot, tremendous lift off the deck, a smooth stroke from well put past the arc, handles either guard spot with ease and comfort, can guard all the way up through the 3 at 6-5, the team will be a problem as the season wears on and Fulton is a must-see.
Noah Clowney Noah Clowney 6'10" | PF Dorman | 2022 State #78 Nation SC , 6-10, C, Team Dickerson (2022, Dorman SC)
Wow, wow and more wows was about the extent of it in watching this well-known post out of South Carolina dominate the paint at both ends and then step out at one point and knock down a 3, my first two times seeing him the last 2 weekends and it’s amounted to an awe-inspiring package of skills with an ease of movement that highlights the incredible athletic skill he brings to the table in addition to the basketball acumen, a monster high D1 target that will draw in more and more eyeballs as the schedule rolls on.
Zach Bell Zach Bell 6'1" | CG Grovetown | 2021 State GA , 6-3, SG, Team Dickerson (2021, Grovetown)
Sign me up to watch Bell, and frankly this whole Dickerson bunch, anytime as he’s good for 2 or 3 eye-opening moments in every game, has offers including power 5 D1 TCU, and I would imagine he’s going to end up on that level as he’s plenty good enough to play there, saw him a bunch during the regular season and nothing has changed in how he can dominate in spurts, just plain shoots it, drives it and defends it as well as any 2-guard I’ve seen since November.
Jermahri Hill Jermahri Hill 6'3" | CG Berkmar | 2022 State GA , 6-4, SG, Team Huncho (2022, Berkmar)
Rightfully got phone calls from UGA and Georgia Tech after pumping in 37 points in Saturday’s feature game vs Game Elite, huge fan of his game after seeing him on the very good Berkmar team several times, A+ athlete who can flat out sky but has shown for awhile now that there’s more to his game than just scary athleticism, gets to the rack with both physicality and cleverness and has now shown off more of his ballhandling and shooting range, thus attracting the D1 eyeballs.
Simeon Cottle Simeon Cottle 6'1" | PG Tri-Cities | 2022 State GA , 6-1, PG, ABC Elite (2022, Tri-Cities)
This ABC team is stacked (including his brother unsigned 2021 Davon) and I’ll need to swing back to see them in greater detail with all the names present, but the younger Cottle is such a polished player and can be such a force scoring the ball at just 6-1, as we chronicle so often the modern-day scoring point guard, in Cottle you get that full package of shooting, fearless driving, smart distributing and stellar, speedy defense, he’s taking the lead role with this club and is sure to make waves as the lead man for the Bulldogs next winter.
