High school basketball is finally back in Southern California as a couple of teams begin play this week. As games make their return, not every team is set to tip-off. But for the schools that have been given the green light to resume play, here’s a quick look at some of the players on those teams to keep an eye out for.

1. Nolan Rice - St. Bonaventure 2021

Rice is one of the better unsigned seniors in the area who had some strong performances this winter at the Hoops 2.0 Showcases. He’s a fluid perimeter scorer who can knock down jumpers off the dribble. He looks comfortable with the ball in his hands and getting himself easy scoring looks. Strong shooter from the outside who can also make a play going to the rim. He also moves well without the ball and is a good catch and shoot player.

2. Chris Nickelberry Chris Nickelberry 5'10" | PG Damien | 2021 State - Damien 2022

Nickelberry is another player who had a strong showing at the Hoops 2.0 events and he’s a potential breakout player for this season. He’s a crafty ball-handler and solid point guard prospect. He’s very quick off the dribble and he can get
