The high school basketball has come to an end this weekend, with independent programs being the final group competing for their state championships. This had led to players making final college choices and preparing to head to the next level this summer. Let’s take a glance at a few of the players that have made college decisions, picked up offers and others that are some of the best available.

One of the best available Guards in the state was Henderson Collegiate Javonte Waverly Javonte Waverly 6'3" | CG Henderson Collegiate | 2021 State NC who has played at a very high level during his high school career and especially during the last two seasons. Waverly averaged 16 Points, 7 Rebounds and 6 Assist this season, helping to lead his team to the Eastern Regional Semifinals. On Friday afternoon Waverly announced that he will be attending UNC-Pembroke, a D2 program that competes with D1 programs yearly and is a national Top 25 consistently.

Farmville Central was absolutely dominant this season and one of the unsung heroes on this team was Senior Forward Leontaye Moye. Moye was a monster on the boards all season and made plays above the rim on both ends of the court which was huge for the
