Here are some players in the public schools in section xi, who you might not have known before the season started. But are now players to watch.

Gerald Saint Laurent     5”11.      2021.    Central Islip hs

A transfer from OSNA had a very nice season for his new club. A playmaking guard. He can score in bunches. Hard to knock off ball. Strong getting into the lane. Has three-point range. Needs to be a little more consistent with his shot. A nice piece for a college program.

Joey Mitchell.    5”7.     2022.       Smithtown West

Super quick guard. Tenacious, pesky, hard-nosed defender. Can knock down open threes. Working on improving his off hand.

Thomas Frycek.       5”9.    2023.     Mount Sinai

A fierce competitor. Has leadership qualities at a young age. Defends the opponent's best guard. Did a tremendous job filling in at the point. Now can play both guard positions at a high level. Can score the ball.

Thomas Zariff.     6”1.     2021.       Mount Sinai

Knows how to use his body with the ball in his hands. High basketball IQ. Really
