Coaches are always on the lookout for bigs and wings, and this class features its share. In this article, we take a look at some of the top wings in the class of 2022.
Shane Thomas Shane Thomas 6'3" | SG Durango | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Durango #4 (featured image) – One of the top 3 and D guys on the West Coast. The lefty is a versatile defender capable of shutting down multiple positions and is one of the top corner 3 ball shooters in America.
Michael Klekas Michael Klekas 6'3" | SF Elko | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Elko #7 – Klekas has all the moves. The wing from Elko is wired to score and uses pace, craftiness, and fundamentals to disarm his opponents. He scores on the block can shoot the 3 and is effective with his mid-range.
Dontrell Johnson Dontrell Johnson 6'5" | SF Trinity | 2022 State NV 6’5 SF Bonanza #8 – Johnson plays hard. The wing attacks with the determination of a Tazmanian Devil, driving, and slashing relentlessly to the rim. He defends multiple positions possessing the athleticism to guard 1 through 4.
Donavon Webster Donavon Webster 6'4" | SG Cheyenne | 2022 State NV 6’4 SG Cheyenne #11 – Webster is a quiet scorer that can get 20 points without breaking a sweat. He can space the floor with his 3 point shooting, finish in transition, or get to the rim off dribble drives.
Sylis Gray Sylis Gray 6'3" | SG Bonanza | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG #14 – Gray is an athletic wing that is at his best playing downhill in transition. He seems to have a nose for the ball on defense, as he has good instincts and plays passing lanes well.
Jalen Foy Jalen Foy 6'5" | SF Canyon Springs | 2022 State NV 6’5 SF Canyon Springs #15 – Foy has come a long way in a year. A slimmed-down version of himself, he has retained his 3 point shooting ability and added some playmaking to go along with his 6’5 frame.
