Class 1A has two of the most exciting players in the state playing at its level. When one looks a little deeper, 1A has three of the top five players in the 2021 class. The first team in class 1A is probably a given (we will see what the LSWA thinks). However, the second team is probably wide open with possible contenders. In this postseason predictions, we will take a look at who I believe makes the all-state 1st team and some of the numerous possibilities for the all-state second team.

Class 1A 1st team (projected)

Keon Coleman Keon Coleman 6'4" | SG Opelousas Catholic | 2021 State LA  (6’4″ Senior / Opelousas Catholic)

Gage Larvadain Gage Larvadain 5'9" | PG Riverside | 2021 State LA (5’10″ Senior / Riverside)

Kurt Labeaud Kurt Labeaud 5'11" | PG Crescent City | 2021 State LA (6’0″ Senior / Crescent City)

Daniel Ortiz Daniel Ortiz 6'1" | CG Calvary Baptist | 2021 State LA  (6’1″ Senior / Calvary Baptist)

Derrick Tezeno Derrick Tezeno 6'5" | SF North Central | 2021 State LA  (6’4″ Senior / North Central)

This class may be the easiest first team to select.  Tezeno has been a two time first team selection and this will be his third.  Derrick has also been the top player in the state this season.  Coleman was district 5-1A MVP over Tezeno this season after sharing the trophy last year.  Following two years of being on the second
