The Monarchs have numerous players that can play on the next level and will have a chance to repeat as national champs and compete for a state championship.
Sophomore Guard Treymane Parker Treymane Parker 6'3" | CG OT Elite | 2023 #169 Nation GA is a prospect and showed that he was one of the best players at the national tournament , taking home the Offensive MVP Award. He’s quick, athletic, a prolific scorer and plays the game with plenty of confidence.
Sophomore Guard Malachi Travis Malachi Travis 6'2" | CG New Life Christian | 2023 State NC came up big time for his team in the semifinals with back to back treys to give his team some much needed offense during a scoring drought. He has a silky smooth jump-shot and doesn’t seem to get rattled regardless of the situation.
Senior Guard Ricardo Polk was a player that made a nice impact on both ends of the floor. He knocked down some three point shots, got into the paint to make plays and was solid on the defensive side of the ball throughout the tournament.
Senior Guard Al Singleton played the role of the shooter on the team and that carried right over into the national tournament. He has college three point shooting range and is especially effective in catch and shoot situations.
Junior Guard Darrion Young shows flashes of how good he can be, breaking down defenders and showing he can score in multiple ways. Young had one of the best plays of the entire tournament, sending an opponent to the hardwood after using a nice crossover move.
Junior Guard Demetrius Polk is probably the player that sacrificed the most this season transitioning from a scoring guard to more of facilitator. Getting everybody else going before finding his own offense, also taking on the responsibility of defending some of the better offensive opponent.
Junior Forward Tristan Robinson stands at about 6’1 but plays much bigger than his height suggest. He rebounds at a nice rate by using his strength to outmuscle taller opponents.
