Here were some of the varsity standouts of the game:
Hamilton 43 MTV 25 (unofficial stats)
Hamilton
Adrian Galindo Adrian Galindo 5'11" | PG Hamilton | 2021 State AZ Hamilton (13 pt 5 asts 5 stls)
-A two-way ball hawk is tough on the ball defensively. He is extremely quick laterally with fast hands and feet. He disrupted the MTV guards all night long. He can hit the 3 off the dribble and score it in traffic. If he can disrupt the Mountain Pointe guards just enough, they have a chance to upset them. The soccer player by trade is a handful.
Aaron Foote Aaron Foote 6'6" | PF Hamilton | 2022 State AZ Hamilton (12 pts 4 rebs 1 stl)
-A face-up forward who can really shoot it. He has a pure stroke off the catch from the 3. He has a high arcing shot that is very hard to defend with his height. He rebounds well in his area and he is very pivotal to spacing the floor for the Huskies. He hit four 3’s in this contest.
Jeshua Peterson CG 5’9 2022 Hamilton (5 pts 1 ast)
-A skilled comb guard can shoot it and has good speed to get into the paint and score it. He is a good passer and plays well off of Galindo. My first time viewing him and came away impressed.
Kokea Makaila PF 6’5 2022 Hamilton (5 pts 2 blks)
-The teams post player is very physical and a good defender. He rebounds and blocks shots in his area. He is smart and is a good passer.
MTV
Brigg Wolfe Brigg Wolfe 6'3" | PG Mesa Mountain View | 2023 State AZ MTV (Pictured) (8 pts 3 asts 1 stl)
-A strong bigger lead guard has nice court vision and can score from all levels. He uses his tight handle and bigger body to get into the lane and score vs the post players and can shoot the 3. He changes speeds and can use left or right hand inside. He has a high IQ, he is very calm with the ball and is very patient.
Connor Cook CG 6’2 2022 MTV (8 pts 2 asts)
-A skilled lefty can shoot it from deep. He has a quick release and plays with a high IQ. His ability to shoot allows him to give a hard shot fake and then drive it.
Milaki Ta’ase PF 6’4 2022 MTV (2 pts 5 rebs 1 stl)
-A strong and tough forward is the big of their team. He rebounds out of area and will challenge opposing post players to block shots. He is quicker then most forwards and runs the floor well. He uses his girth and strength to do most of his damage.
