For many players, it has been that long since they’ve had the opportunity to play competitive basketball. Luckily the PrepHoops Circuit is here! This year the Hustle Region includes 11 stops, covers 5 states, and features hundreds of prospects. It also features some lesser-known players with the opportunity to use the circuit to put themselves on the radars of college coaches. In this article, we take a look at some potential sleepers from the event.
Hayden Engel 6’2 CG Arizona Dream 2022 – Englel may not look like the prototypical player, but don’t let that fool you. Saw the combo guard last week, I liked him but was unable to get him the ink he deserved. This weekend he will be firmly on my radar, and if he makes plays like he did in Phoenix 7 days ago, expect him to be on the radar of others as well.
Bradley Swillie 6’4 SG Eagles Academy 2022 – Here’s a kid that averaged over 13 per game as a sophomore for a Life Christian team that went 17-1 in their district. I saw him last fall at a Pangos event and was blown away by his speed and scoring ability. Has the talent to earn some all circuit honors when it’s all said and done, expect him to be a major factor this weekend.
Diego White 6’9 C Hardwork Dedication 2021 – I’m taking a shot in the dark here because it has been a while since I’ve seen him, however White has the size and length to positively impact games for HD. I saw a lot of him his junior year, and if he shows any improvement this weekend, expect a few coaches to be receiving text messages about the big man.
Dylan Hayman Dylan Hayman 6'5" | SG Healdsburg | 2021 State CA-N 6’5 SF NBBA 2021 – Hayman is going to be one to watch. He’s a high academic guy with a nice skillset. Several high academic schools have reached out to me asking about available skilled Wings, if I lay eyes on Hayman and he’s as good as I remember, then he’s going to be my suggestion.
Jake Hall 6’1 SG Multi-Level Basketball 2025 (featured image) – Jake Hall came to our middle school event last month and was just a level above the competition. He played with such confidence, that the first thing I will be looking for from him this week is body language. I don’t care how many points he scores, or mistakes he makes, if he carries himself with the same confidence and swagger on the court as he did last month, we could be looking at one of the rising WC prospects in the 2025 class.
