Valley Center Duo
Gabe Phillips Gabe Phillips 6'2" | SG Valley Center | 2021 State KS , 6’2 Guard, 2021: The Kansas Wesleyan commit was not ready to see his season end, and put up a monster double double with 18 points and 11 rebounds from the 2 guard spot in Valley Center’s opening round of Sub State win. His scoring ability is come of the best in the 2021 guard group, so complimenting his scoring with 11 boards is big time in the post season. He has the tools to be a tremendous 2 way guard at the next level.
Eli Isaacs Eli Isaacs 6'1" | CG Valley Center | 2021 State KS , 6’2 Point Guard, 2021: Not to be out done by his back court mate, Isaacs did what he does best, control the game from the lead guard position. He brings the complete package as a point guard skill wise, and from his athletic traits mixed in, is lethal especially in post season play. He finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in the win.
Bishop Carroll Tandem Rolls
Carter Reid Carter Reid 6'0" | SG Bishop Carrol | 2021 State KS , 6’1 Guard, 2021 (Pictured): The swag, poise, and emotion that the Southwestern college commit brings to his game makes him a different animal come playoff time. His shooting ability is top notch and it showed last night finishing with 15 points in the win for Bishop Carroll and drilled 3 3’s. He will lay it all out on the line this post season, should be fun to keep tabs on him game by game.
Alex Littlejohn Alex Littlejohn 6'5" | CG Bishop Carrol | 2021 State KS , 6’5 Guard/Wing, 2021: Littlejohn put together a monster opening round performance scoring 22 points and grabbing 9 rebounds in Bishop Carrols win on Wednesday night. His length and athletic ability really helped him take control of the ball game. This Carrol duo can put up a lot of points fast, especially from behind the 3 point line. Littlejohn has the game and ability when the games get tight at the end of these post season contests, to get his team a big time shot, or protect the rim, his versatility is outstanding. He was also a killer in transition getting out on the break last night and his teammates do a great job of pitching it ahead to him.
Elsewhere
Devon Junghans Devon Junghans 5'9" | PG Salina South | 2021 State KS , 5’11 Point Guard, 2021, Salina South: The competitive natured point guard put on a great display last night in South’s win to open up post season play. The electric point guard filled the stat sheet up with 14 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals, while also knocking down a 3 ball. South has the team make up and chemistry to make a deep playoff run, and with Junghans, he has the ability to run the team and steer this ship in the right direction.
Jack Johnson Jack Johnson 6'2" | CG Andover | 2021 State KS , 6’2 Guard, 2021, Andover: Johnson has been on an absolute tear in this final stretch of his senior season, and in Andover’s win last night to kick off sub state, he dropped 32 points on only 12 field goal attempts. He went 7 of 12 from the field including one of 3 from distance. He lived at the foul line, and got to his spots on the floor whenever he wanted, and attacked the rim hard. He finished the game 17 of 19 from the free throw line. If someone is going to knock out Andover, they will have to figure out a way to cool off Jack Johnson Jack Johnson 6'2" | CG Andover | 2021 State KS .
