Alijah Carter Alijah Carter 6'2" | SG Pattonville | 2021 State MO (Pattonville): The 6’3 2021 guard helped lead the Pirates to one of their best seasons in recent memory with his high energy play at both ends of the court. He attacked the basket relentlessly on offense and threw down his share of slam dunks. He was also a disruptive force on defense in the passing lanes. He averaged 17 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.7 steals for the Pirates, who finished 22-2 with a distinct championship.
Jalen Hampton Jalen Hampton 6'7" | PF Link Year | 2022 MO (University City): The 6’7 2021 forward had a big senior season with his high motor and explosive leaping ability around the rim. He constantly runs the floor and his offensive rebounding was outstanding with quick second and third jump. He averaged 19 points and seven rebounds to lead the Lions to a 16-4 record.
Cole Keller (Grain Valley): The 6’5 2021 forward was a treat to watch this season as he played so hard at both ends and did not take a possession off. It lead to a high level of productivity as he averaged 19.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. A multi-sport standout, he has signed with Washburn to play football.
Jackson King (Salisbury): Whenever the 6’0 2021 guard got the ball in his hands, he was on the move and fast. He had as many coast to coast rushes for buckets as any player I watched in the state. He averaged 20 points a game to lead Salisbury to a berth in the Class 2 state championship game.
Chevalier Brenson (CBC): The 6’4 2021 was an all-purpose player for the Cadets. He played the Draymond Green role and he did it with great energy and intensity. He could facilitate offense and guard multiple positions on defense. As a senior “Karate” averaged 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals a game. He will be playing college football at Ball State next season.
Roddy Alexander Roddy Alexander 6'1" | PG Christian-O'Fallon | 2021 State MO (O’Fallon-Christian): The 6’0 2021 guard has been a go-go performer for four varsity seasons and he finished as the school’s career scoring leader. Much of his offensive damage was done going downhill to the bucket over and over again. As a senior, he averaged 17 points and shot 50 percent from the field in leading the Eagles to a 20-6 record and a berth in the Class 3 state quarterfinals.
Lane Dunlap Lane Dunlap 5'10" | CG Golden City | 2021 State MO (Golden City): The 5’11 2021 guard was an All-State performer on the football field and that toughness and aggressiveness translated to the basketball court as he averaged 25 points and eight rebounds a game to lead the Eagles to a district championship. He played with reckless abandon as he attacked the basket and scored through contact like he was playing bumper cars.
