Joshua Roberts, Montgomery Bell Academy: The sophomore power forward had his way with junior big man Handje Tamba Handje Tamba 7'0" | C Knoxville Catholic | 2022 TN . He wasn’t afraid to attack the 6-foot-10 center. Roberts was active on the glass and scored seven of his 12 points in the fourth quarter. Roberts also had eight rebounds, three steals, three blocks and one assist.
Will Montana Will Montana 6'3" | SG MBA | 2021 State TN , Montgomery Bell Academy: Montana came out aggressive offensively, scoring four quick points in the first quarter. The senior shooting guard played solid defense and closed out on the Fighting Irish’s lethal shooters. Montana had 12 points on 6 of 13 shooting to go with his four assists, three steals and one block. Junior guard Jackson Francis was another great contributor for the Big Red, adding 12 points.
Tyler Tanner Tyler Tanner 6'1" | PG Brentwood Academy | 2024 State #133 Nation TN , Brentwood Academy: The freshman point guard was clutch in the second half when the Eagles were trading scores with the Purple Wave. Two 3s by Tanner in the fourth quarter helped Brentwood Academy build a 53-43 lead. He sealed the win by going 7 for 10 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter. Tanner was getting into the lane, dropping floaters and making shots from the perimeter. He had 22 points (all in the second half) and went 5 for 7 from the field.
Caleb Brooks Caleb Brooks 6'2" | PG Brentwood Academy | 2021 State TN , Brentwood Academy: Brooks showed his senior leadership by attacking Christian Brothers’ small frontcourt instead of settling for jump shots. He was getting putbacks and made timely baskets in the second quarter when his team was trailing 19-8. Brooks finished with 11 points and five rebounds on 5 of 8 shooting.
Trent McNair, Brentwood Academy: McNair helped his teammates erased an 11-point deficit. He knocked down his first 3 of the game to get his team within four (23-19). McNair’s two foul shots gave the Eagles a 26-25 halftime lead. His second 3 of the game came in the third quarter, and it gave Brentwood Academy the lead for good. McNair finished with 14 points and nine rebounds on 5 of 7 shooting.
Chandler Jackson Chandler Jackson 6'5" | CG Christian Brothers | 2022 State #87 Nation TN , Christian Brothers: The junior guard made his money with the mid-range jump shot. Jackson was getting to his spots on the floor and was the sole reason the Purple Wave were in the game. He scored 11 points in the third quarter before the Eagles went on a 10-0 run that was capped off by Tanner’s 3. Jackson ended the game with 24 points and eight rebounds.
