So who are the players ranked toward the end of the rankings that we feel may move their way up with some stellar play over the next few months.
Grace Christian School Forward Jessie Mitchell Jessie Mitchell 6'4" | SG Grace Christian (Sanford) | 2022 State NC checks in at the #161 spot after a season of averaging 22 Points & 8 Rebounds per contest. He plays the game with physicality constantly attacking the paint to score and battles inside for rebounds.
Elevation Prep Sharp Shooting Guard Stephen Quinn Stephen Quinn 6'2" | SG Westminster Catawba | 2024 State SC shoots his way into the rankings at #162, averaging just over 11 points per contest and shooting just under 40 percent from three point land. He’s a player that understand his role on the team and tries to perfect his role to the best of his abilities.
Wayne Prep Forward Kayleb Coles Kayleb Coles 6'6" | PF Wayne Country Day | 2024 State NC slides in the rankings at #163 and showed some nice upside throughout the season where his team would finish with a 7-7 record. Coles scored 14 Points & snatched down 7 Rebounds each contest, using his height at 6’6 and athletic ability to make plays above the rim but also showed he can play on the perimeter, stepping out and knocking down some shots.
Grace Christian School Forward Ma’Kyi Butler Ma’Kyi Butler 6'5" | SF Grace Christian (Sanford) | 2024 State NC comes in at the # 164 spot and is a player that had a very productive season on the varsity level averaging 18 Points & 8 Rebounds per game. He has one of the better midrange games of any player we saw this season, he gets to his spots well on the court and has nice elevation on his shot .
Rounding out the group at the #165 spot is Lincoln Charter Guard Elijah Burnett Elijah Burnett 6'1" | PG Lincoln Charter | 2023 State NC , a player who played a nice role in Lincoln Charter making a deep run in the playoffs, eventually reaching the state championship game. His facilitating ability was probably the way he helped to impact his team in a positive way the most, setting up teammates for easy buckets, averaging just under 7 Assist per contest.
