Carter Hoog Carter Hoog 6'2" | SG Valle Catholic | 2021 State MO 6’2″ Valle: The standout guard scored 28 points to lead the Warriors to an impressive 66-56 victory over host Advance in the Class 2, District 3 championship game. Hoog, who recently became the school’s career scoring leader, has been a bucket all season. He has deep shooting range and he combines it with his ball handling and playmaking skills. He is also a strong, physical guard who can score on tough drives to the basket and get himself to the free throw line. He recently had 49 points in a game against Crystal City, which happens to be Valle’s opponent in the sectionals.
Caleb Maassen Caleb Maassen 6'4" | SF Linn | 2021 State MO 6’5 Linn: The senior combo forward was a force in leading Linn to the Class 3, District 8 championship. He had 19 points and 19 rebounds in the semifinals against Tipton, then followed up with 25 points and nine rebounds in a 53-39 victory over No. 1 seed Iberia in the championship game. Isaiah Smith 5’9″ Crane: The talented point guard scored a game-high 22 points to lead No. 1 Crane to a 63-57 victory over Galena in the Class 2, District 7 championship game. Smith is a College of the Ozarks recruit to play baseball, but he is a tremendous point guard who plays at a fast pace and loves to attack the basket. The lefty can also knock down the 3-pointer as he leads the state’s No. 1 team into the sectional round.
Jackson King 6’1″ Salisbury: The senior wing scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Wildcats to a 58-46 victory over Slater in the Class 2, District 7 championship game. King got things going early with his perimeter shooting in the first quarter, then he got back to what he does best; which is attack the basket at every opportunity. He is one of the best at going coast to coast to get a bucket.
Colby Crader 6’2″ Delta: The senior forward scored 25 points in Delta’s 72-65 victory over Leopold in the Class 2, District 2 championship game. He really took over the game in the second half when he scored 18 points. After losing several key players from last year’s state quarterfinals team, Crader has delivered as the team’s main offensive weapon this season.
