Kalen Garry Kalen Garry 6'3" | SG De Smet | 2022 State SD of De Smet (6’3 Jr). Garry nearly put together a triple double in an 80-53 victory over Lower Brule. Garry put together a 24 point, 10 rebound, 7 assist game making 11 of 23 attempts in 30 minutes. His effort on the offensive glass may have been the most impressive part of the day as his jumper struggled but the effort buckets got him to 24.
Connor Libis Connor Libis 5'9" | PG Dell Rapids-St. Mary | 2021 State SD of Dell Rapids-St Mary (5’9 Sr). Basketball fans all around the state of South Dakota tuned in to see this playmaker and Libis performed on the big stage. Connor scored 28 points and he did it going at the White River defense with the dribble. Shot 12 of 22 from the floor plus dished out six assists.
Ashaun Roach-Valandra Ashaun Roach-Valandra 6'3" | PF Todd County | 2021 State SD of Dell Rapids-St Mary (5’9 Sr). Roach-Valandra led the third ranked team in the state to the semi-finals with an 18 point, 7 board effort that included three threes. Far more important was what Ashaun, Max Herber Max Herber 6'4" | PF Dell Rapids-St. Mary | 2021 State SD , and the Cards froncourt did stop keeping White River from scoring little near the basket.
Joe Sayler Joe Sayler 6'4" | SG White River | 2023 State #295 Nation SD of White River (6’3 Soph). Sayler lived up to the “best sophomore in the state” billing with a 29 point and 11 rebound double-double. Sayler hit three threes and 8 of 11 foul shots (shot 9 of 26 overall).
Gradee Sherman Gradee Sherman 6'5" | PF Viborg-Hurley | 2021 State SD of Viborg-Hurley (6’5 Sr). Sherman was completely impossible to stop on the offensive glass. A double digit offensive rebound performance led his team to a 53-45 win. Sherman had 19 points, 17 boards, three steals, and three blocks but it was his effort on the second and third chance possessions that led his team to the win over Lyman.
