Most Valuable Player
Anton Brookshire Anton Brookshire 6'2" | PG Kickapoo | 2021 State #146 Nation MO (Kickapoo): The 2021 Mizzou recruit averaged 19.5 points, six rebounds and 3.5 assists in the Final Four as he paced the Chiefs to the state championship. In the championship game against Liberty, he had 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and knocked down three 3-pointers while hitting all eight of his free throw attempts.
All-Tournament Team
Isaac Haney Isaac Haney 6'1" | CG Kickapoo | 2021 State MO (Kickapoo): The 2021 Missouri State recruit averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and three assists as he helped lead the Chiefs to a state title. Haney finished his tremendous career with over 3,000 points as well as being a two-time state champion. He led Dora to the Class 1 state championship last season.
Tarris Reed Jr Tarris Reed Jr 6'10" | PF Link Academy | 2022 State #43 Nation MO . (Chaminade): The 6’10” 2022 forward averaged 27.5 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in leading the Red Devils to a third-place finish. He was a force in the low post throughout the weekend as he scored on a variety of finesse moves, good footwork and power dunks. He showed why he is an elite big man with several high major Division I offers.
Bennett Stirtz (Liberty): The 6’5′ 2022 wing player averaged 20 points, nine rebounds and three assists in leading the Bluejays to a state runner-up finish. He had a big championship game against Kickapoo, where he had 28 points, eight rebounds and three assists while keeping his team competitive throughout the game.
Cam Liggins (Kickapoo): The 6’2″ 2021 guard averaged 14 points and four rebounds a game in helping the Chiefs to the state championship. Liggins has been a consistent player throughout his senior year with his athleticism and perimeter shooting. He can attack the basket as well as hit 3-pointers. A Division I prospect, Cam will reclassify and do a year of prep school in 2022.
Connor Turnbull Connor Turnbull 6'9" | PF Ft. Zumwalt North | 2022 State MO (Fort Zumwalt North): The 6’10” 2022 forward finished off a stellar season by averaging 19 points and 6.5 rebounds in leading the Panthers to a fourth-place finish. He was dominant in the semifinals against Liberty as he had 28 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots while knocking down three 3-pointers. He had the game-tying 3-pointers with 30 seconds left in regulation.
