The state 1A Championship was one of the more anticipated matchups of the tournament. A tough and well known Wildwood (FL) team facing off against a lesser known, undefeated Jaguar squad from Central (Milton). The primetime game between small town squads unfolded like this:

Here were the game standouts:

Rembert has to be the most entertaining player in 1A this season. His constant effort and grit are apparent every time he is on the floor. He was the first to expose Central’s biggest weakness, ball handling, and force some turnovers which ended up in easy fast break buckets. The baby guard is also an elite shooter, knocking down 2 triples from the NBA stripe during the course of the game. Rembert is a gritty guy who isn’t afraid to get in your head (and tell you that he’s there), which shook the Central team and rendered their guards ineffective when he was on the floor. Rembert is still unsigned and could be a force on a collegiate team next season.
