Ceaser is someone we watched at a few CBG events this year and were impressed with him enough to invite him to the CBG ECE 24 Camp, and as expected he didn’t back down from any of the bigger names and performed extremely well throughout the camp. He came in with one thing on his mind, and that was to show that he belonged, and it all paid off as he was one of the top two way guards and increased his stock in doing so.
“I’m coming here looking to show my talents and compete against the best,” Ceaser said. “We’re all here to compete against the best, that’s all I want to do and get the respect I believe I deserve.”
Ceaser was a standout in the WCAC at St. Mary’s Ryekin in Maryland, but decided to transfer to St. Stephen’s St. Agnes, which was one of the top programs in the VISAA D1 Classification over the past few years. Things didn’t go as expected as their season was canceled and they were forced to play in multiple other leagues and showcase events due to it, but Ceaser didn’t allow that to stop him from competing and showing his freakish athleticism.
One of the fastest and most athletic guys in the event, Ceaser is a blur in transition and is able to stop on a dime and change directions with ease. His quickness allows him to make plays with the ball in his hands and on the defensive end as well.
“I’m fast,” he didn’t hesitate to say. “I like to get out in transition and I like to get up quick shots, but I also like to facilitate and get others involved too.”
After watching Ceaser this season in CBG events and then at the East Coast Elite camp, I’m confident in saying that he may be one of the most under recruited guys in the state. Of his offers, he says that Merrimack is the one pursuing him the hardest and he had been hearing from JMU as well. Since the event, he says he’s heard from VCU, Seton Hall, Murray State, Radford, Longwood and UNCW.
The list is only going to continue to grow as coaches see more of him, and when asked why coaches should recruit him it all has to do with his approach to the game and his motor as well.
“I play super hard, it’s one thing I really take pride in, and I don’t let a simple mistake take me down for the rest of the game I’m going to keep playing hard.”
Ceaser will be on a very talented New World team on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit this year, and with multiple high major prospects on his team he will have a lot of schools keeping tabs on him and I would be shocked if he doesn’t have double digit offers by the end of the spring.
