Continue ReadingI’ve been on a mission for a few years now. I saw Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI play at the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250 Expo prior to his freshman season. UTS Elite founder, Marcus Lancaster, warned me. He told me prior to the event. “Scott, you have to see this kid.” So I did. And he was right. Titus showed all the makings of a future star. Ever since that September day years ago, I’ve made my stand and told anyone who would listen that Titus was a special player.
For 3 years now, I’ve had Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI ranked higher than most. I know I’m not always right….not even close. I can give you a laundry list of wrong calls and right calls that I’ve made. But this time, I’ve always known that I was right. Titus is a top notch talent in the state of Michigan. He’s an elite point guard in the class of 2022 and stars for Tri-Unity Christian and UTS Elite. Prep Hoops Michigan currently has Titus ranked as the number 12 prospect in the junior class.
Now on to his 1000th. He was 17 points shy of 1000 when he led his Tri-Unity Christian squad into a showdown with West Michigan Lutheran. Titus finished the game with 18 points and didn’t even play in the 2nd half of the blowout victory. A shifty finish with an and 1 put him at and over the 1000 point threshold. The finish gave Titus 1000 and the free throw put him at 1001.
This article has 2 purposes. The first – A hearty congratulations to a terrific young man. The second – A reminder to all about exactly how gifted of a basketball player that Titus really is. He’s a downhill defender that can pressure the ball and create turnovers. Titus is a natural leader and the type of player that explains why we sometimes call a point guard a ’floor general’. Offensively, Titus can score and distribute at a high level. He likes to see his teammates have success offensively, but he also knows when his team needs a bucket. Titus can score within the offense or create space and scoring opportunities off the dribble.
My assessment from almost 4 years ago still stands today: Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI will be an absolute steal and success at whichever program at the next level that he ends up at.
