Here in the next week or so Prep Hoops will be launching its first edition of the 2024 Palmetto State Class. A few of these names should land in the rankings somewhere in the weeks to come.
Caleb Jenkins Caleb Jenkins 5'5" | PG Sumter | 2024 State SC – Sumter HS – Carolina Pressure 2024 (pictured on front)
Jenkins is quite the floor general for his size on the floor. Jenkins plays the game with a fearless attitude and mindset. Jenkins is shifty with the ball and really can get the ball into the gaps very well. Jenkins a water-bug type point guard never takes a play off and is always in complete hustle mode while on the floor. Jenkins helped the Carolina Pressure 2024 to a (2-0) start on the opening day.
Ladarius Cloud Ladarius Cloud 5'9" | PG Great Falls | 2024 SC – Lancaster HS – Carolina Pressure 2024
Cloud plays the game very mature for his age. Cloud really likes to pickup defensive intensity from 94 feet at times and brings a good work ethic to the floor. Jenkins and Cloud duo in the Carolina Pressure 2024 back court for sure NEVER takes plays off. Cloud had a solid season for the Bruins this season averaging 12.5 ppg, 6.3 steals and 5.5 assists this year.
Nick Hamrick Nick Hamrick 6'8" | SF Westminster Catawba | 2024 SC – Westminster Catawba (Rock Hill) – Seal Academy
Hambrick is a slender-sleek athlete who really glides all over the floor. Hambrick is extremely active in the passing lane with his great wingspan. Hambrick likes to get out and fill the lanes in the transition.
Damon Howey Damon Howey 6'0" | CG Camden | 2024 State SC – Lugoff-Elgin HS – PCH Nightrydas
Howey came up big in his first game of the day vs the Carolina Riptide when he dropped 18 points. Howey connected on some open shots today while converting a few three pointers. Howey plays the game with a good amount of confidence at times. Howey is more of a offensive threat from the backcourt while seeing really good minutes this past season for the Demons as a freshman.
Justin Pauling Justin Pauling 5'11" | CG Gray Collegiate | 2024 State SC – York Prep – PCH Nightrydas
Pauling really likes to drive and slash to the cup when given the opportunity. Pauling is great around the ball and always looking to make a play on both sides of the floor. Pauling scores on contact while taking it to the rack. Pauling played good minutes this past season for the Patriots and Head Coach Larry Davis.
Pascal Pitts Pascal Pitts 6'4" | PF River Bluff | 2025 State SC (2025) – Lexington M.S. – Lexington Elite
Pitts (2025) just a 8th grader currently plays with the Lexington Elite. Pitts a post player was able to finish around the basket and keep the ball up high after rebounding it. Pitts worked from block to block to receive the ball collected several rebounds in his opening round game on Saturday. Pitts played with his back to the basket in the paint and showed to have a nice touch on the foul line with his shot.
