Big Shots Southeast Tip-Off: 2023 Top Performers

<p>Prep Hoops was in attendance here in Rock Hill all day on Saturday. The Big Shots Southeast Event had over 130 teams to start the Grassroots Season off. Prep Hoops was in the house to put its eyes on as many Palmetto State teams as possible this weekend. Boyd scored 17 first half points coming around the cup. Boyd was effective inside the paint and along the short corner scoring buckets. Boyd was determined to score the ball and played quite aggressive against the bigger B Maze Elite - Penny squad. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1036976" first="Grayson" last="Kirk"] - Lancaster HS - York County Legends (pictured on front) </strong></p> <p>Kirk plays the game with a great deal of confidence from the back court. Kirk was able to penetrate - kick and find the open man or slash to the rack. Kirk connected on a few three pointers today. Wright does his best work around the paint being active and collecting tip ins. Wright a long and rangy forward was active in passing lane that led to a few steals on the day. Overton a left-handed guard connected on some open looks while playing off the ball today. Gibson plays the game extremely hard each and every play. Gibson never looks to showboat, throw his hands up in the air, yell at the other team HE just plays the game. Gibson a left-handed guard has improved on his perimeter shooting some but feels most comfortable going to the basket or finding a open teammate. Daniels at one time scored 7 straight points while attacking the basket. Daniels a offensive minded guard plays the game a bit wildly at times in a good sense and really likes to get out in transition. Oree really came out on fire today and connected on some long range shooting from behind the arc. Oree uses the ball-screen well to turn the corner and stop and pop for his shot. Oree isn't afraid to sacrifice his body for a loose ball on the floor. </p>
