Big Shots Southeast Tip Off: 2022 Top Performers

Prep Hoops takes a look at the 2022 Palmetto State Top Performers we saw play on Saturday from Rock Hill right here. The Big Shots Southeast Tip-Off featured plenty of talent across the board.  Jazian Gortman Jazian Gortman 6'2" | PG Keenan | 2022 State #162 Nation SC - Keenan HS - PCH Nightrydas SC (pictured on front) Gortman can do it all it seems on the hardwood. Gortman manufactures points by creating his own shot and shots for his teammates. Gortman is electrifying going to the basket and can finish above the rim with the best of them. Gortman elevates very well on his jumper and isn’t afraid to have the ball in his hands late in the game.  Julian Keitt Julian Keitt 6'3" | CG Irmo | 2022 State SC - Irmo HS - PCH Nightrydas SC  Keitt a new addition to the PCH Nightrydas SC this Grassroots season brings a ton of athleticism. Keitt can really explode to the basket and get the ball downhill in a hurry. Keitt nicknamed "Juice" showed off a few pull-up jumpers in transition. Keitt brings a great MOTOR to the floor at all times.  Caleb Byrd Caleb Byrd 6'1" | PG Mauldin | 2022 State SC - Mauldin HS - Big Shots CPA SC 2022 Byrd is really starting to make some progress after being injured. Byrd scored the ball from all 3 levels today and was able to finish at the basket while on contact. Byrd distributed the ball to his teammates for some open looks today while playing securing a opening round win over 1-Carolina.  Drake Downs Drake Downs 6'8" | PF Mauldin | 2022 State SC - Mauldin HS - Big Shots CPA SC 2022 Downs does a good job running the floor in transition and filling the lane. Downs is best suited around the basket and was most effective a few feet in. Downs tends to alter and challenge shots on the defensive end at a high rate at times.  Kory Davis Kory Davis 6'0" | PG York Prep | 2022 State SC - York Prep - 1-Carolina  Davis is extremely fundamentally sound with his play. Davis was able to stop and pop on some short jumpers today while executing a great mid-range game. Davis really looks to sacrifice his body and chance possible while on the floor if its for taking a charge or just grabbing a loose ball on the floor.
