It also featured a number of quality point guards. In this article, we take a look at the top floor generals from the event.
Cade Bennett 6’0 Team Grrr 2022 (featured image) – The word that best describes Bennett is throwback. He’s a high IQ PG that just has a feel for what his team needs. The lefty was masterful in P&R action, made tough shots, and seemed to fit the ball in the tiniest of windows when distributing to teammates.
Justus Jackson Justus Jackson 6'0" | PG Eduprize | 2021 State AZ 6’0 The Show 2021 – It’s applicable that Jackson played for a team called The Show because he was just that. More of a scorer than a shooter, Jackson still managed to knock down some tough 3 point shots, showing range on his high arcing 3’s. He’s got a good frame and a burst that allows him to plow his way into the lane, like a running back hitting the hole.
Isaiah Phillips 6’3 The Show 2021 – Phillips blew by everyone that tried to defend him. When opponents attempted to give space, he calmly sank 3’s. A wiggle and blow by guy, Phillips used his stop ability to get into the lane and either finish or find teammates.
Xakime Milton 5’8 X-Factor 2021 – You have to really try hard to keep an eye on Milton, the fastest player end to end, Milton allowed X-Factor to play at a breakneck pace. He didn’t shoot a lot of threes, however, the 5’8 jitterbug showed good form on his mid-range jumper and kept defenders in backpedal mode all game.
Jerry Hayes 6’0 PG Washington Supreme 2021 – Hayes was one of the top paint touch getters in the event. WS received With the floor spaced for Connor Drinkwine, Hayes was able to scream into the lane on straight-line drives. He shot better than I’ve seen him in the past and even managed to come down and grab offensive boards for his squad.
