These players listed below are raising their stock ahead of the 2021-22 high school basketball season. With the 2020-21 complete it’s time to take a look at some of the top players in Class 1A, Area 2. The schools in the area are Florala High School, Kinston High School, Pleasant Home High School and Samson High School.
The following list of players will include prospects from numerous classes.
Rayshon Coleman | 5-9 G | Florala High School
Coleman is a sensational playmaker that can drive to the basket or hit the mid-range jump shot. He also has a solid three-point shot associated with his game. He will enter his freshman season in 2022, and won’t graduate until 2025. Despite that, Coleman has been trending up the rankings with his talent on the court.
Nick Short | 5-9 G | Pleasant Home High School
Short is a phenomenal team leader with the ball in his hands. His game consists of dominant mid-range jumpers and a solid outside shot form. When he doesn’t have the open look, the junior guard always finds the open teammate or sets up a nice play to allow another player to find the basket.
Going into next season, Short could elevate his stock and earn offers with his dominating ability on the court.
Reece Hall | 6-2 PG | Kinston High School
Just a rising junior, Hall has tremendous upside to his game. He can take a foul when on offense and get to the free throw line in any given situation. Aside from that, the junior point guard is a great shooter from anywhere on the court. Defensively, he is solid at forcing turnovers and scoring on the fast break and in transition.
His upcoming junior season could be his best yet. For a Kinston team that finished 9-10 in the regular season, Hall became one of the bright spots on the roster in 2020-21.
Jeb Crosby | 5-10 PG | Kinston High School
Crosby doesn’t gradute until 2023, but that gives him time to increase his stock. At 5 foot 10, the incoming junior is a great addition to Hall at point guard. He has a great upside given his frame and can light up the scoreboard from beyond the arc.
The junior guard is also sensational in the post and in the mid-range shot area.
With the 2020 season over, Crosby can now focus on perfecting his game ahead of his second to last season with Kinston.
Coe Kelly | 5-10 G | Samson High School
Kelly is a great shooting guard at the 2 spot that can take over a game at any moment. With the help of his teammates in the paint, the junior can drive inside and get to the rim while making defenders switch.
The Samson High guard has one final season in 2022 to increase his stock and elevate his game. But through the course of his career, Kelly has grown as a player and is being noticed more and more.
When the 2021-22 season starts in the Fall, look for Kelly to be one of the top players in Area 2.
