Comments from Jerod Steigenberger, Chris Borowski, and Adam Maulick
Tyler Borowski Tyler Borowski 6'2" | PG Appleton East | 2022 State WI – Point Guard – Appleton East
“Tyler is a solid perimeter shooter with a quick release. While he can stretch the defense with his ability to knock down 3’s, he can get to the rim and create off the bounce. Tyler plays with high basketball IQ, always looking to make the extra pass or hit his teammate on the break. On defense, he is deceptively quick, with a knack for getting his hand on the ball or coming up with a timely steal.”
Owen Pawlikowski Owen Pawlikowski 6'3" | SG Kimberly | 2022 State WI – Shooting Guard – Kimberly
“Owen is a gifted multi-sport athlete who can quickly change the complexion of a game in many ways. Owen is elite in the open court with an ability to be a disruptor on defense and finish above the rim. Owen is also effective in the half-court setting, demonstrating a consistent ability to knock down open perimeter shots.”
Nate Forystek Nate Forystek 6'7" | PF Bay Port | 2022 State WI – Power Forward – Bay Port
“While Nate plays the traditional “back to the basket” post position extremely well, he also has the ability to handle the ball and shoot from the perimeter. For a player with his big frame, he is hard to stop when he runs the floor and attacks the rim. Nate has emerged as one of the best big men in Wisconsin and has a big senior season ahead of him.”
Carter Thompson – Small Forward – Appleton East
“Thompson displays great footwork and tenacity in the post and compliments his inside game with the ability to knock down 3-ball. Carter has expanded his game to become a perimeter player along with his inside game. Thompson can guard the perimeter and post positions with his strong frame allowing him to play big”.
Nathan Gapinski Nathan Gapinski 6'6" | PF Watertown | 2022 State WI – Power Forward – Watertown
“Gapinski is a high-flier. He runs the court well, plays above the rim and defends with high energy. Nathan currently plays forward, but shows promise of developing into a wing guard to bring more versatility to his game. Nathan is driven to improve his game and has tremendous upside.”
Jack Jorgensen Jack Jorgensen 6'2" | SG Depere | 2022 State WI – Shooting Guard – De Pere
“Jack’s athleticism allows him to impact the game in many ways. He can get to the rim and also is a very good defender. Jack is efficient,
plays with poise and is a knock-down perimeter shooter.”
Carter Thomas Carter Thomas 6'5" | PF Neenah | 2022 State WI – Forward – Neenah
“Carter is a uniquely talented player who creates match-up problems for opposing teams. He can post up, drive/slash to the basket, and step
outside where he made 25 3-pointers (53%) this year. He can defend all five positions. Thomas is that glue player that every team needs on its roster if they want to be successful.”
Zach Steigenberger Zach Steigenberger 6'0" | CG Appleton East | 2022 State WI – Guard – Appleton East
“Zach can play on or off the ball. As point guard, he has some flare as a facilitator. As an off guard, he is a high-level shooter that puts pressure on opposing defenses by stretching the floor and has developed a nice mid-range game, including a knack for getting to the rim.”
Josiah Butler Josiah Butler 6'3" | CG Fox Valley Lutheran | 2022 State WI – Shooting Guard – Fox Valley Lutheran
“Butler has a scorer’s mentality and is nearly impossible to guard when he gets on a roll. He is a smooth player with an array of offensive skills and uses his size well to put defenders on their heels.”
TEAM NOTES
“We return seven players from last year’s club team that posted an impressive 25-4 record against strong competition. This year, we have again have assembled a talented and deep roster that will allow us to put different combinations on the floor. One of our biggest team strengths is offensively our ability to spread the floor with multiple shooters and play inside out. Our length and our athletes allow us to defend and switch if need be on defense. Overall, we have high basketball IQ players that compete whistle to whistle.”
