However, there are a lot of great teams and players at the 4A level who excel at basketball and will go on to have excellent college careers. As the season is coming to a close, many of these teams and players will be looking to leave it all on the court as they attempt to win a state title and bring home some hardware. Continue reading for a look at a few players that excelled during the regular season at the 4A level.
Mikey Lloyd Mikey Lloyd 6'4" | SG Jerome | 2022 State ID , Jerome: Mikey is a great all-around player from Jerome who will compete for a final season of high school basketball after the culmination of this season. He is a dynamic scorer with lots of skill around the rim, and a great jumper. He can stretch the defense in a lot of different ways and he is always finding a new or creative way to score points. He can finish with either hand at the rim and he is equally as deadly whenever he steps back to shoot from deep. On defense, Mikey uses his athleticism to jump in passing lanes and grab steals to start the fast break. He is also a tremendous rebounder for his position and he does a great job crashing the boards on both ends of the floor.
Tyler Medaris Tyler Medaris 6'7" | PF Middleton | 2022 State ID , Middleton: Arguably the best player at the 4A level, Tyler Medaris Tyler Medaris 6'7" | PF Middleton | 2022 State ID has been doing a great job of leading the Middleton Vikings throughout the season. He is a tough cover at 6’7″ and he can play inside or outside. He has a great jumper that he uses against shorter defenders and he can easily drive around taller defenders on his way to the rim for easy baskets. He finishes strong around the rim and does a great job of knocking down free throws as well. Defensively, Tyler is a rim protector who can also step out to the arc and guard smaller players on the perimeter. He is a great rebounder on both ends of the floor and he loves to do the little things.
